Curragh Trained horses won an impressive 6 of the 7 races at Galway's Tuesday evening fixture. Races were won by Eddie Harty, Dermot Weld, Des Hughes and Eddie Lynam. Congratulations to all involved.

Derby contenders' final prep.

We got to see Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Carlton House do a final piece of work on our Polytrack this morning in preparation for tomorrow's Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby. Another strong contender, Native Khan, had a hack around the grass gallops. Tensions are mounting for the 146th running of the Irish Derby at the Curragh tomorrow.

In order to complete the Derby preparations and with the relocation of our Helicopter landing facility to the infield for Derby Sunday, the following amendments to gallop times will be necessary. Walshes Hill Green markers will close from 1pm on Thursday until Monday morning. Trial grass will be available by prior arrangement with Pat Kelly until 11am on Friday morning. All other gallops within the racecourse boundary fence (including the Flat Rath, Old Vic, Polytrack and schooling ground gallops) will close from 11.30am on Saturday morning and 10am on Sunday morning. The Curragh Committee regret any inconvenience caused to Trainers and thank you for your co-operation. Derby Festival Preparations

Today was a very busy morning on the Curragh Training Grounds where many of the Derby Festival runners finished a hard work morning in preparation for the exciting weekend ahead. The very best of luck to all the Curragh Trained horses this weekend!
Cheltenham preparations.

We have had one of the busiest days in many years on the grass gallops of the Training Grounds today as trainers put the finishing touches to their Cheltenham bound teams. We are looking forward to following their progress when they go on to represent Ireland in Cheltenham.
